Your day as a Clown

Allowing access to multimidia production tools, in an independent and autonomous manner, with complete freedom is the reason for Estudio Livre's existence. This tutorial presents one of the most efficient tools, and in my opinion the most necessary in the midiatic day-to-day of any worker. the Clown Nose.

Cultural Jamming is a practice that aims to appropriate means of communication with the objective of recreating popular culture, renegating comercial and corporative interests. Interventions communicate with people as much as they are capable of breaking daily routine. One of the first means of communication used by humans was their own body.

Clowns represent a form of entertainment present in all cultures, it's origins are linked to the court jester, and remote even to the first egyptian civilizations.

Court Jesters in the middle ages were property of their masters, perceived as idiots (some suffered from physical or mental disabilities), they were the only ones in court that enjoyed freedom of speach. In the begining of the 16th century, some actores started training in the art of the court jesters to obtain the hability of making satirical comments.

Until the beginning of the 19th century the clown was a typicall dayly character. By being oustide of societies normal rules, the clown is capable of subverting order, and this premise is used by many wactivists todith the objective of demonstrating social absurdity, as s the case of the english [http://www.clownarmy.org| rebel clown army]].

If someday, in any situation, you find yourself in the position of a clown, use the Clown Nose as a tool, tranform yourself and point out absurdity in a very efficient and fun manner. All you have to do is wear your clown nose and confront order without fear of speaking the truth.

Always have a clown nose at your disposal.
