Teaching:

Teaching focuses mainly on the design process and the open source process: how to use simple materials, tool and techniques to develop your own project. Modules taugh includes: Level one: “Interdisciplinary Project”, “2D drawing”, 3D modelling”, “Multimedia Programming” and “Design Introduction”. Advanced Levels: “Interdisciplinary Project”, “3D animation”, “interactive systems”, “off-line multimedia development”.

Pedagogic interests:

Pedagogy involves an interest in the generation of open, creative, flexible learning environments which foster new and innovative approaches to design and the acquisition of knowledge. Teaching strategies and curriculum design are structured to promote the development of the reflective and autonomous learner and combine development of subject specific skills with generic skills and creativity to afford a greater confidence and creative freedom. Teaching methods place an emphasis on both the individual and collective learner; encouraging new ways of thinking and a fusion of 2D and 3D approaches to learning. In Addition, emphasis is placed on making strong links between theory and practice to produce a fused and integrated learning experience. Interests in linking fashion design with the wider arts and culture have resulted in a number of collaborative and publicly exhibited student projects.
